Our Story – From Humble Beginnings…
Like most small businesses, it all started with an idea when owner Bailey Jung had an epiphany. It was early in 2005 when Bailey saw an opportunity and recognized that demand for shredding services was growing due to increased privacy concerns and the rise in identity theft.
From humble beginnings operating out of his parent’s home in East Vancouver with a makeshift shredding truck, Silver Bullet Shredding was launched in September 2005. Today, we are one of the most trusted names in the document destruction industry providing secure, on-site shredding services to businesses and organizations throughout the Lower Mainland.
Meet the Team
Born and raised in Vancouver, Louisa joined Silver Bullet Shredding in 2014. Louisa is responsible for keeping all aspects of the office running smoothly. From managing the company’s scheduling system to bookkeeping, to setting up new accounts, keeping the boss in line, and everything else in between, Louisa is deft at juggling many balls in the air at once. Her memory and ability to remember customer’s names is legendary. When not working, this self-confessed foodie can be found checking out new cafes and bakeries around town and sharing her finds with the rest of the team.
Document Destruction Specialist
Gene is the company’s document destruction specialist who fortuitously landed at Silver Bullet Shredding in early 2020. He is the consummate professional who handles his job with great diligence and proficiency. Gene’s friendly demeanour and positive attitude is instrumental in creating a positive shredding experience with our customers. Gene is married and has a cat named Kali. When not working, this former marathon runner keeps in great shape and puts most men to shame with his active lifestyle.
Company Founder & Owner
Born and raised in Vancouver, B.C., Bailey is the Company’s founder and owner. Graduating from Simon Fraser University in 1988, he has worked in various management roles for different industries over the past 3 decades and ended up as an Investment Advisor for RBC Dominion Securities in 2002. In 2005, he hung up the suit and tie for good and founded Silver Bullet Shredding. Today, Bailey’s main role is setting the company’s vision, building customer relationships, and ensuring that every customer has a positive experience dealing with Silver Bullet Shredding. In his spare time, Bailey can often be found reading a good biography while enjoying a coffee or exploring new parks with his GoldenDoodle son, Biscuit.
Every company has an office clown whose role is to make others laugh and keep things around the office light. At Silver Bullet Shredding that job belongs to Biscuit the GoldenDoodle. As the company’s rookie, Biscuit has the least amount of seniority on the team and is clearly low man on the totem pole. Despite this though, Biscuit can be found strutting around the office, barking orders at others, and acting as if he owns the place. Biscuit has a tendency to call in sick on Friday especially when it’s sunny out. Our HR Department is working closely with him to bring his work ethics up to company standards. Even though Biscuit has a long list of shortcomings, his is a valuable member of the team and is well liked.
